Since 1997, Milwaukee Composites, Inc. (MCI) has produced our patented lightweight floor for the transit industry which has solved the problems associated with metal skin and plywood transit floor products.

MCI’s Phenolic Composite panels are approximately 1/3 to 1/2 lighter than other flooring systems. Our phenolic composite panels are moisture resistant and meet all global transit fire safety standards. Transit vehicle assembly is simplified using our engineered panel structure. MCI’s patented composite sandwich structure, utilizes a phenolic resin matrix which is globally recognized as the lowest flame-smoke-toxicity polymer in the industry. Fiberglass structural fabrics are impregnated with phenolic resin and co-cured to lightweight, closed-rigid cell foam core or a light weight end-grain balsa core during the molding process.

The company EUROASIATIC (EA) is active in Vietnam since 1992, with the first office opened in October 1995 in HCMC.EUROASIATIC Vietnam is part of the EUROASIATIC-Group of companies, that is established since 1969 in Indonesia and around in SEA-countries. The philosophy behind the company from the beginning, is to transfer machinery, technologies and Know-how from Europe to Asia and this in different fields of business. The Railways from the first days is one sector of attention for EA in Vietnam. EA was actively involved and actually initiated the rehabilitation of Diesel-Hydraulic locomotives 'FAUR' from Romania, in Service at VIETNAM Railways (VR) under series D11H from the late 70s, supported by a governmental loan from Germany to Vietnam. This rehab of all together 22 locomotives was successfully implemented between 1995-1997 and after.Together with VOITH-Turbo from Germany, EA since then, i.e. for meanwhile 20 years and more, is providing consultancy, spare-parts and service-support for these locomotives, whenever required. Meanwhile a further success-story are modern and sophisticated Rail-Road crossings, by prefabricated rubber-panels from the company STRAIL in Germany.2 crossings, 1 in Hanoi and 1 in HCMC were executed so far and became a full success, easing traffic, increasing Road/Rail-safety and lowering noise-levels, thus reducing the environmental impact for people, living in the neighbour-hood of the crossings.Further projects are under immediate consideration. Rescue-cranes from KIROW in Leipzig, Germany are in operation with VR since more than 10 years.2 of these cranes are providing the necessary lifting-support, on the routes between Hanoi and HCMC, whenever accidents occur, respectively are they helping in other handling-operations at VR in Da Nang and Hanoi.EA together with KIROW is introducing the next generation of cranes to VR, that might become an important tool, when further developing the Rail-Services and network of VR over the coming years, especially on the North-South route, but also beyond that. EA over many years has been proving, to be a reliable business-and working-partner for VR and is looking forward, this to continue and to further develop over the years, to come.
